Historical Event on 5/4/1783
Tipu Sultan was enthroned as the ruler of Mysore after the death of Haider Ali in a simple ceremony at Bednur. He continued the Second Mysore War against the English. He defeated many EnglishGenerals like Brithwhite & Col. Bailey. Tipu Sultan signed the treaty at Mangalore on 11th March 1784 A.D. which was known as the Mangalore treaty.

12/3/1971	During the ensuing melee, three of the Sabres were shot down while all Gnats returning to base were unscathed. The first blood of a new Indo-Pakistan air war had been drawn. Other encounters were to follow over the next 10 days within both Indian and Pakistani airspace, before a full-scale war began.

11/19/1917	Indira (Pridarshani) Gandhi, the first Indian Lady Prime Minister, was born at Allahabad. She was the only child of Jawharlal Nehru and took active participation in freedom fight by forming ""Vanar Sena"" (a team of young detectives). She lead India in a successful war against Pakistan to seperate East and West Pakistans and establish the nation of Banglades
6/17/1674	Jijabai, mother of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, died.
10/15/2000	Sachin Tendulkar becomes the highest run-getter in one-day internationals (9379 runs) during his innings of 69 in the final of the ICC cricket tournament against New Zealand
10/26/1932	Indian Muslim leader demands that Gandhi be released from prison. The Viceroy responded that this was only possible if Gandhi disassociated himself from the civil disobedience campaign.
