Historical Event on 05/17/1498

Admiral Dom Vasco-da-Gama (c.1469-1524)-I, Portuguese navigator, arrived in India. He sailed around the Cape of Good Hope to Calicut, Kerala with three vessels and was the first Westerner to sail to India from Europe.

9/12/1686Aurangzeb ended Adilshah's kingdom. The garrison lost heart and surrendered Sikandar who was sent to the state prison at Daulatabad. Bijapur was invested and the city opened its gates to the Mughals. Bijapur as an independent kingdom ceased to exist.

The film, however, was cleared only after deleting certain portions and the title changed to 'Udaykal'.
